At first glance, seeing our nation’s flag upside down, most of us feel an instant betrayal and possibly anger. This is a normal and natural response, but these are not normal and natural times. These are Historic Times and demand Reflection on the reasons behind our nation’s Revolutionist History; they demand that we be Vigilant against the modern day forces of Tyranny.

These are times to ask the tough questions, like:

1. Why would our president be pursuing, “ a civilian national security force. That’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded” as our military?
   
2. Why would our president and his congress create multiple new laws that are designed to convert law-abiding American Citizens into criminals?
3. Why is our nation’s citizenry actively engaged in arming themselves, stockpiling food reserves and other emergency supplies?
4. Why would our government work towards domestic entitlement policies that create and promote institutionalized government dependency?
5. Why would our government work toward foreign policies that weaken America’s world standing and transfer our sovereignty and wealth to other nations?
6. If our elected representatives take an oath to, “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States”, “against all enemies foreign and domestic”, then, Why are they pushing a high risk gamble of Massive Spending, unprecedented in world history, using Borrowed Money from the Communist Chinese, which ultimately threatens our Nation’s Sovereignty?

We would be wise to remember that ours is not the first great civilization the world has seen. Before us there have been many whose cultures spanned great territory for great periods of time. The Greeks, Romans, French, British, Spanish. All were powerful, feared and respected the world over. It was said that the sun never set on the Roman Empire. What happened to them? Do you think America is invincible, that we could never be taken down? If so, think again.

So the question presents itself; At this precarious time in our nation’s history, is presenting our flag upside down, (universal sign of distress) a show of Disrespect or Ultimate Respect?

Have We Lost Sight of, “The Simple Truth”?

America is an IDEA:

Inspired by human experience, our founding fathers knew that all persons yearn for Freedom and that for Freedom to take root and prosper, all persons must be considered as Created Equal. Each Individual has God-given Rights, with Life and Liberty being foremost. The Individual’s Rights are affirmed and protected by the mutual respect that others also have Individual Rights. Liberty and Freedom result from preventing overbearing government dictates. This is the IDEA, and it’s realization of Liberty includes financial liberty from an unjust government, which may establish tyranny by imposing, “Collective Obligations” over the Rights of the Individual.

America has RULES:

In this, “New World” which the Early Americans found themselves, there was no established class system or social order into which you were placed. There were no kings, or czars, or religious persecutions. This, “Land of Opportunity” offered exactly that, the opportunity to create a new society based on Individual Liberty, Rights and Responsibilities. For this New World, a new written form of order had to be established. These are the RULES of America and are embodied in our Founding Documents: “The Declaration of Independence”, “The United States Constitution” and the “Bill of Rights”. These RULES are our nation’s bedrock, our foundation, and they give us true grounding. These RULES must be obeyed for the IDEA to prosper.

Americans have a SACRED CONTRACT:

Each generation stands upon the shoulders of the one before it, so that it might reach higher and farther. Each generation is encouraged by Freedom to create and prosper, and is expected by Freedom to protect and defend. The American Dream of constant progress for self, family and society is born and nurtured in this environment of Continuity and Common Cause. The American Dream therefore relies upon a SACRED CONTRACT between all Americans to appreciate the IDEA and to obey the RULES.

Americans have a DUTY and a PROMISE:

If the RULES are not obeyed, then the IDEA will not prosper and the SACRED CONTRACT will be broken. It is therefore our DUTY as Americans to hold tight to the RULES and to pass on the SACRED CONTRACT intact, so that the next generation may claim it’s inheritance and do the same. This is our challenge, and the achievement of this challenge is the strength and PROMISE of our Great Nation.

We must each vow to not be the generation that allowed Freedom to fade. So help us, God.
